Location of the Airport: The Airport is situated 8 miles southwest of Frankfurt linked directly to the A3 & A5 motorways bordering the eastern and the northern boundaries of the airport and meet up at the Frankfurter Kreuz junction for access to the airport on road B43 federal road. The serving destinations of A67 in the south connect the A5.

Travelling to & from the Airport:

Rail: Two-railway station facility is available at the Frankfurt Airport, the regional train station and the A1 rail long distance train station.

Regional train station is located beneath the Terminal 1, S-Bahn commuter train depart for central Frankfurt and the Hauptbahanhof. They also provide service to Offenbach and Hanau, and to Ruesselsheim, Mainz and Wiesbadn and they also serve many other destinations.

The A1Rail long distance station is linked to the building at the terminal 1. The service available here is high-speed trains that serve to the central stations of Cologne and Stuttgart.

Bus: The bus station is located right in front of the terminal 1 arrivals hall and in front of the terminal 2 bus no 61 serves to Frankfurt Sudbahnhof, also bus service is available to Obertshausen Bahnhof and Kelsterbach.Darmstadt Airliner runs to Darmstadt and in front of Arrivals of Hall b Terminal 1 Lufthansa bus liner serves to Hahn Airport, Heidelberg, Mannheim and Strasbourg. Free Shuttle bus is also available at the roadside of both the terminals.

Frankfurt Airport Terminal Information: There are two terminals at the Frankfurt Airport and Free Sky line shuttle trains serve between both the terminals.

Information Desk: Located in the arrivals and the departures hall of both the terminals, staffed 24 hours a day and several touch screen technology available all over the terminals for the convenience of the passengers.

Frankfurt Airport Facilities :

Currency : Number of banks and ATMs are available at both the terminals. The German banks opposite terminal1 provide a comprehensive range of domestic and international banking service.

Communication : Postal service, credit card phones, faxes and Internet access is available all over the terminal.

Refreshments : Food courts bars and cafes are provided all over the terminal opened 24 hours.

Shopping : Duty free 24 hour shopping available at both the terminal with more than 130 shops.

Left & Lost Luggage : The airport is provided with FGS baggage service for which reservation should be made in advance located in the arrivals hall B of terminal 1 and arrivals hall E of terminal 2, tel: (0) 69 6905 1211). Both the terminals are provided with left luggage and locker facility and porter service is also available at both the terminals, tel: (0) 69 6906 6666).

Other Facilities : Medical clinic and Pharmacy is available in terminal 1 opened 24 hours, children play areas, baby change rooms are also available at both the terminals.

Frankfurt Airport Disabled Facilities : Facilities include elevator ramp access automatic doors, wheel chairs adapted telephones and washrooms available at both the terminals. Transport facility to and from the airport is provided by Behindertenund Krankentransport Kaster tel: (0)60 7481 4544). Both the terminal is equipped with electric buggies and a wheelchair accessible bus service with an ambulance lift runs daily.
