Exploring Florida
Florida is the south eastern part of the United States that separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Gulf of Mexico. The great climate gave Florida its famous nickname, the Sunshine State, and is one of the main reasons that the state is so popular with visitors from around the world.
Many people visit Florida for the great theme parks and attractions, with Disneyland being the largest and most famous of them all. This massive park near Orlando has millions of visitors every year and is so popular that a large part of the state’s economy depends on the visitors coming to see Mickey and his friends.
Florida is such a popular destination that flights from all around the world land at the major airports in Orlando and Miami. From here, many visitors choose to rent a car and explore the state. This is a great way to experience all that Florida has to offer, but many of the larger resorts will supply transportation from the airport.
Florida is also famous for the shopping opportunities. The state has a number of great malls with all the stores you could want under one roof, as well as outlet stores offering cheap prices on top-name gear. You can buy almost anything in Florida, and often at cheaper prices than are available at home.
Florida also has some great natural assets that visitors love. Both coasts have miles and miles of sandy beaches and warm waters. Further inland, the natural wilderness of the Everglades has intrigued visitors for years. Just remember the insect repellent and do not wander too far from the paths.
Florida is a wonderful place to visit, with exotic cuisine, great nightlife and all the natural and man-made thrills you could possibly want on a holiday.
