At the southern tip of the state, the Florida Keys are an attractive string of islands linked by a road bridge. Driving down the Overseas Highway is an experience to savor.
If you are a nature lover, then Florida offers visitors miles of unexplored wilderness and a vast range of wildlife that inhabits it. The Everglades show Florida as it was before people settled in the area, but be sure to remember the insect repellent if you visit! Throughout the state you are never far from great wildlife, with alligators and snapping turtles present in many waterways. You might even be lucky enough to get a rare glimpse of a manatee.
