Dundee is very old, historic and one of the four major cities of Scotland. The city of Dundee was granted the city status some 800 years ago. The people of the city have long history of scientific inventions and innovations.
There are many notable tourists sites many of them being the castles the Scone Palace, this is the coronation place of the kings of Scotland. Glamis castle is the ancestral home of queen mother, Blair castle is the home of the DUKe of Atholl. The city of Dundee offer a lot in water sports and mountains like sailing, water skiing, canoeing, white water rafting, hill walking,rock-climbing, pony trecking. Also including facilities like recreational, endowed parks and other sports like cycling (which has a route only for cycling through the city), gliding, parachuting, falcony, tennis and golf (championship courses, including the british open course at carnoustie).
The city of Dundee has only connecting passage to London city and Manchester airport. It is an hours drive from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow airport.
