One of the great pleasures of visiting here can be achieved by wandering through the Dublin on foot. Walking through its Georgian Street really gives you feeling of comfort. Phoenix Park- The vast green expanses of Phoenix Park are Dublin's playground and it's easy to see why. This is a well-designed, user-friendly park crisscrossed by a network of roads and quiet pedestrian walkways that make its 704 hectares (1,739 acres) easily accessible. The Phoenix Park Visitors Centre, adjacent to Ashtown Castle, has an audiovisual presentation on the park's history, for the particularly curious. The cafe/restaurant is open 10am to 5pm weekdays, 10am to 6pm weekends. The Book of Kells- This extraordinary hand-drawn manuscript of the four Gospels, dating back to the year 800, is one of Ireland's true jewels, and with elaborate scripting and colorful illumination, it is undeniably magnificent. Trinity College- Trinity, the oldest university of Ireland was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I to offer an education to the children of the upper classes and protect them from the “malign” Catholic influences elsewhere in Europe. . Its purpose has changed with the ages, and now it is simply the well-respected university in Ireland.
