Location
The airport is located 2.5 miles southeast of Dubai and is directly connected by the airport road on the east side of the Creek (Al-Khor).
Dubai Airport Terminal Information
The airport has three terminals and two concourses, which are linked by the airport complimentary shuttle service. The concourse (Sheik Rashid Terminal) is linked to terminal 1 by travelator while the terminal 2 is specifically used for business and chartered flights. The third terminal is still under construction.
Information Desk
The airport reception desk is located in terminal 1 of arrivals with multi-lingual information. The airport information desks are located on the departure level of the concourse another two desks are located opposite to food court and gate 19 (Ph: +974 224 5555).
Dubai Airport Facilities
Currency Exchanger & ATMs : the bureau de change facility is located near gate 8, 18 and 22 and automated teller machines are located in all the terminals.
Food & Drinks : cafes, bars, restaurants and fast food outlets are located the two terminals and more than 25 new restaurants are within the new concourses. The food court is located on departures level between gate 13 and 15 includes McDonalds, round table pizza, Bistro, Jashan (Indian) and Tansu Kitchen.
Shopping : the is lot to talk about airport shopping with such a huge area dedicated specifically for shopping. The main shopping area opened in the new concourses
Offers best quality commodities from jewellery, liquor, children’s wear, electronics, books and many more endless shops.
Left / Lost Luggage : the lost luggage office is available.
Other Facilities : 24-hour post office near gate 18 on the Sheik Rashid Departures.
Dubai duty free (www.dubaidutyfree.com) also offers foreign exchange, banking and internet facilities.
24-hour medical center is located in the ground level of terminal 1.
Children play area and baby change rooms are available in the terminals.
Dubai Airport Facilities for Disabled
The airport lifts, ramps and assistance with wheelchair or electric cartsto access different levels and transfer between terminals are provided with out hassle. Specially designed telephones, ATMs, drinking water and wheelchair provided on request. For any specific assistance at the airport the airlines should be informed in advance. There are desks to assist passengers with special needs between rows A and B in the departure hall.
