The city of Dresden is exclusively rich in its natural beauty as well as in its historical treasures. Centuries of Saxon reign has brought in the creams of the European culture in the city. A visitor is sure to find the city too full of elements to get bored. While you are in Dresden you can enjoy every walk of your journey.
The most famous tourists’ choices have been the city’s museums and art galleries. Dresden's most prominent art collections are kept together in the Albertinum, Brühlsche Terrasse. The treasures of king August the Strong are also displayed in the Albertinum.
A visit to Dresden cannot be complete without visiting the centre of the old town (AltStadt) where the oldest baroque buildings are located. Zwinger and Theaterplatz are the other relics that a person shouldn’t miss at any cost.
Another ruin of the baroque Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) is situated on Neumarkt square. This place was once considered to be the most beautiful Protestant church in Germany. Today the place has been modified and was reopened in 2006.
The shopping places are also as attractive and the visitors never leave the city without emptying their wallets in the very luring shops.
