Denmark is a compact country with a vast network of scenic roads with spectacular ocean views. The Great Belt Bridge and Oresund Bridge were completed to connect Denmark and Sweden via islands of Zealand and Funen and it is 11 mi to 18km long and took 10 years to complete. Seat belts are compulsory in Denmark both in the front and the rear and childrens under the age of 12 must travel in the rear seat with seat belts fastened. The speed limit on Danish roads especially in the towns are 31 mph to 50kph, on major roads it is 50 mph to 80 kph and on motorways it is 68 mph to 110 kph. Overspeeding is checked by the hidden cameras and if found fines are collected by the policemen at the spot. Make sure to carry your driving licence, insurance papers, registration papers with proof of ownership along with your passport all the time while drivimg. The blood alcohol limit in Denmark is 0.08% and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is regarded as a serious offence in Denmark and convicted persons are liable to imprisonment.
