Corcovado and Osa Peninsula – is located at the southern end of the Pacific Coast and recognized as the richest biological zone in Mesoamerica. The beautiful park is considered as one of the most important natural preserves in the Americas.
Parismina River – located on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica with lush jungle on the banks of famous Parismina River.
Tortuguero Canals and Sarapiqui – an important place and the nesting grounds for the Green Turtle in the western Caribbean. It is often known as ‘Costa Rica’s Amazon’ and during the summer thousands of Turtles come ashore to lay eggs. Tortuguero is a navigable network of lakes and channels that crosses the National Park and allows great diversity of Fauna and Flora.
Pacuare River – the quintessential tropical river and lie along its course several densely vegetated gorges and shelters many species of animals and birds.
Manuel Antonio National Park – the National Park is situated on the Pacific coast south of the town of Quepos between Damas and Matapalos. The park was created to preserve the area, which was spoilt by massive influx of tourists in 1972. The park protects a beautiful remnant piece of the tropical forest that once covered a wide variety of marine life.
Arenal Volcano – four different elements of nature located at the same place, the energy of the Arenal Volcano, the heat of the Tabacon River, the life of the tropical rain forest and the purity of its air.
Monteverde Cloud Forest – the reserve was founded in 1950’s by a group of Quakers from the US. Monteverde has gained international renown as one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in the tropics. The reserve spreads out over 10,500 hectares of land, which holds six different life zones.
