Mainly, there are three ways to reach Corfu. First one, airplane, second option is ferryboat and third is bus. Since Corfu is a major tourist attraction, many reputed airlines services operate flights to and from the island to many important cities of Europe. British Airways, LOT, Air France, Swissair and many other services operate in Corfu. There are some scheduled flights from Athens International Airport to Corfu. These flights cost 100 € and an hour.
Ferries move to and from Corfu and mainland. The ferryboats are very nice and comfortable. There are many operational ferry lines linked with several mainland regions like, Venice, Bari, Trieste and other places. If one travels in deck he can buy ticket in Italy. But for having a car or reserving cabin, it is better to book in advance.
Buses regularly run to Igoumenitsa from Athens and Salonica. But the journey in ferry is required after that. The ticket price of bus is 30 € highest.
