Cologne city is located in the Federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth largest city in Germany. Museums in Cologne

Museum of East Asian Arts – the original museum building was destroyed in the 2 nd World War and was replaced in 1977 by the Japanese-inspired construction and landscape garden. Actually it was founded in 1913 to display the Fischer collection and also Chinese, Japanese and Korean art, crafts and sculptures from 1500 BC to the 19 th century.

Kolner Philharmonie – housed in the same building as the Ludwig Museum and the concert hall has at least one performance every year.

Chocolate Museum – the museum is located in a brick and glass building on a small promontory close to the Altstadt and the Imhoff-Stollwerch Museum also known as the chocolate museum. The main attraction is a chocolate fountain oozing Schokolade.

Kunsthandel Klefisch Gallery & Auction House – the gallery and auction house was founded in 1972, specializing in fine Japanese and Chinese art.

Cologne Cathedral – the cathedral of 1248 was built to house the relics of the Magi and the dome was not completed until 1880. Though there were architectural changes throughout the centuries but still represents Gothic style on impressive vertical lines.
