About Chamonix
Chamonix is at the heart of western Europe in the french Alps, very close to Mt. Dolent where the french, swiss and the italian borders meet. It is a world capital for outdoor activities, mountaineering, hiking, climbing, biking, paragliding and all the winter activities. The valley and the neighbouring mountains are a wonderful natural resources.
Chamonix is a fantastic place for the tourist to explore especially the sports. Few tourist places to name are the Trail to lac Blanc the turquoise powdery blue lake, the Summer Luge, the Haut Vol famous for course in paragliding, Cable car, one of the highest cable cars in Europe from Chamonix to Aiguille du Midi and the Compagnie des Guides mountain guide. The one and only famous museum in the city of Chamonix is the Musee Alpin that illustrates the history of mountain climbing and other Alpine activities.
