
About Canary Island
The Canary Island lie north of the Tropic of Cancer and majority of the resorts are in the two main Islands, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Despite of the huge tourist attraction the island remain fairly untroubled and there are scenes of outstanding natural beauty. There are two main groups of Islands the eastern and the western Island. The eastern island comprises of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuertaventura which lie closer to Africa, and the western island comprises of Tenerife, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma which are closer to the Atlantic Ocean. Out of these seven islands Tenerife in the western part and Gran Canaria and Lanzarote in the eastern part are the main tourist destinations.
