Canary Island Nightlife
Seven beautiful volcanic origin islands in Atlantic Ocean, of north western African coast (Western Sahara and Morocco) form the Canary Islands. They are an autonomous society of Spain. Morocco recently claimed these islands along with Melilla and Ceuta. The name, the Canary Islands, comes from Latin Insularia Canaria which means the Island of Dogs.
Along with the wonderful natural sights and delicious Canarian cuisines, the Canarian night life also provides time worth enjoying to the travelers visiting the Canary Islands. Santa Cruz, well known for the nightlife consists of pubs and discotheques. It is in Marina park, which is named after César Manrique. Also there are Avenida 3 de mayo and Residencial Anaga, La Noria street pubs, the nearby La Laguna. The city, Tenerife is also popular for the enormous, renowned and rather sophisticated carnival, among the largest in the whole World declared by International Tourist Interest after the death of General Franco. This colorful and gorgeous carnival hits this Canary Island city like a storm in the month of February, or March of every year.
Thus it can be concluded that nightlife in these islands is perhaps not the best that one can possibly get, but a visit to the islands would surely be worthwhile for its serene natural beauty. Furthermore, a visit there during the carnival can totally light up one’s life!
