The Canary Islands are a community of seven islands of Spain at the coast of Morocco with lovely sights. The island form Macaronesia region with Cape Verde, Savage Islets, Madeira and Azores. Among the eye catching tourist spots is the Teide volcano in Tenerife, the tallest mountain of Spain, also the 3rd largest volcano of Earth.

Four of the 13 national parks of Spain are situated in this Canary Islands. In early 90's, only five such parks were there in whole Spain, four of which were Canarian parks, Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Tabureinte of La Palma island, Teide National Park of Tenerife, Timanfaya National Park of Lanzarote and Gatajonay National Park of La Gomera, the other was Doñana.
