Getting to California
California is the third largest state of USA. Getting to this city allows a lot of options. But one thing- the entrance to California might require more security checking than other states as California have agricultural inspection stations so that some fruits and vegetables do not cross into a region where they may come into contact with the farms in the Central Valley. These measures are likely to be increasingly stringent as extreme biosecurity problems arise from travel-carried fruit and vegetables, imported plants and animals.
California is reachable via airlines from most of the states of USA as well as many other European cities. Its easiest from LA and San Francisco. Ticket prices are competitive so booking in advance might be a good decision for cheaper traveling.
The famous Amtrak trains are also available for reaching California. Frequent Amtrak trains connect LA and San Diego, with a stop at Fullerton for buses to Disneyland, and one daily service runs up the coast from LA, stopping at Oakland and Emeryville, the nearest stations to San Francisco, and continuing via Sacramento to Seattle.
But the best for traveling to California has to be the roads. Greyhound and Green Tortoise buses also connect all the main cities.
