Another very precious Palaeo-Christian monument in Sardinia is The Basilica di San Saturnino.Built during 5th century; it is dedicated to the martyrs killed in Diocletian's reign. Central part of the main building still remains and two arms (one with two aisles and a nave) was added to the dome.
Cagliari is also famous for the long beach, Poetto Beach, among the longest of an Italian town. It retches for about 13 km and is famous for fine-grained white sand. A new controversial intervention for saving erosion of the beach has quite changed the original sand texture.
