Any tourist at Brighton is bound to visit the two most famous landmarks - the exuberant Royal Pavilion and the tacky Palace Pier. The Palace Pier is just a few minutes away from the Royal Pavilion and this sightseeing can be followed by a stroll along the seafront promenade or the pebbly beach. Apart from these two landmarks an exploration of car-free Lanes is an interesting idea as present there are some of the very diverse restaurants, bars and tiny bric-a-brac jewellery and antique shops. One could also take an idle meander through the quaint, but more bohemian streets of North Laine
