Shopping in Boston
Boston might not be the ultimate shoppers’ paradise but shopping here is fun. The biggest shopping areas in the city are the Back Bay and the Downtown Crossing. There are also two large malls in the city.
These malls are:
They house department stores, clothing stores, bookstores, upscale shopping, a food court, many restaurants, and connect to several large hotels.
At the Newbury Street you will find a wonderfully dense avenue colored by historic brownstones and lots of shops and restaurants. Things are a little dear near Boston Common but as you start nearing Massachusetts you will be relieved to find reasonable price ranges. This place is called the ‘Rodeo drive of the east’ as here excellent collections of trendy and classic goodies.
The Downtown Crossing near the Boston Common is extremely famous for the Filene’s Basement. This place was actually an underground store but due to its sky scrapping demands the authorities have started to renovate it into a two-story shopping house.
For surprisingly bargain goods hit the Bargain Alley where you can get stuffs at prices as cheap as 25% of the market price.
