Barcelona, the capital city of Catalonia, Spain, is a home of natural beauty as well as best architectural works, attracting people from all over the world.

Beaches

Museums

The city houses museums of a huge number, covering different eras and areas. The National Museum of Art of Catalonia has best collections of the Romanesque art, while the Barcelona museum of contemporary arts mainly focuses on the post-1945 Spanish and Catalan arts.

City History Museum, the Archaeology Museum of Catalonia, the Barcelona Maritime Museum , the Museum of History of Catalonia, The Erotic museum and the Cosmocaixa science museum are also worth visiting.

Architectures

Modernisme architecture of Catalonia, built from 1885-1950 left a significant bequest in Barcelona. Most of them are among World Heritage Sites. The works by Antoni Gaudí are remarkable, Sagrada Família church being the most popular.
