In Australia the rules of the road is driving on the left hand side and the speed limit in the City is 35mph to 60mph and on the Highways it is 68mph to 110mph.

Driving in a foreign country, the roadway signs are different and sometimes speedlimits are not posted at all and drivers travel much faster than it is accustomed to traveling. Mandatory equipment is required in the vechile and some of the mandatory items include first aid kit, reflective warning triangle, reflective vest, spare fuses and light bulbs.

Some of the saftey tips- make sure that the lights, signals, horns and brakes are working properly, Avoid driving after dark especially in the rural areas, parking should be done in places that have good lighting, always lock your vechile, always fasten your seat belt while driving and never drink and drive as it is a very serious crime that could result in sever criminal penalties. Avoid riding motorcycles and if you do ride a motorcycle make sure that you wear a helmet. Drive carefully and slowly in wet and windy weather if possible stop and wait for the weather to settly down. More important is service your vechile before leaving and ensure that everything is running properly. Make sure that you carry your national and international driving license with you.
