Angers is located in the west of France and is the capital of Maine-et-Loire, in Anjou. It is one of Western France’s most active cities and is known for its slate mining, though it has suffered extensive damage in World War II, most of the city has been rebuilt with a suggestion of sophistication.
The Angers airport is a small airport having an information desk at the arrivals of the terminal hall. It has been provided by a bar and a buffet serving a variety of delicious food and drinks including shopping facililty at the terminal building. The airport is also having an ATM cash dispenser and a bureau de change for international flights.
Attractions in the Angers city are Chateau d’ Angers, the huge stone fortress the 14 th century tapestry of the apocalypse, the religious site Cathedrale St Maurice, the Musee Lurcat museum and the Chateau de Brissac Castle.
