The name of the town "Almerķa" came from the Arabic word Al-Mariya which stands for- "The Mirror of the Ocean".
True to its name, it certainly is the city of crystal clear and sky blue water. One can look at the water surrounding it for hours and be mesmerized by its sheer peacefulness and experience a tranquil atmosphere. It has many beautiful beaches with serene coves and thus holiday lovers can spend the whole day enjoying all the water sports it has to offer, golf, horse riding etc.
Although it is regarded for its serene natural beauty as well as its glorious past history, Almeria, however, is not lagging behind with its buzzing and vigorous nightlife. It does offer great pubs, night clubs, discos and night bars for those who like to end the day with a bang!
But unlike many other cities of Europe or to be precise Spain, discos and night clubs in Almeria generally starts pretty late at night. Absurdly, these places are sometimes even found to be empty at around midnight. So it is wise to go there at around 2 am if not more to get the party going. So be sure to check the time before you become the first and only person to enter the stage!
