LONDON LUTON AIRPORT INFORMATION

Location of the Airport: The airport is located 32 miles northeast of London, it is easily accessible and well signposted from the access roads. The airport has one terminal which serves over 15 different airlines flying to over 60 destinations.

Traveling to and from the Airport:

  • Rail: There is regular rail service to central London and other destinations including the south coast, Midlands and northern England operated by Thameslink, Luton Airport express and Midland Mainline. Thameslink operates a fast frequent service direct between the Central London and Luton Airport Parkway train Station.
  • Bus: Bus service is frequently available from outside the terminal building serving to the city center and surrounding areas. A constant free shuttle bus service operates to and from the Main Terminal. Coaches are also available in front of the terminal building connecting with key towns and cities across the country.
  • Taxi: Taxi is readily available from the taxi rank outside the terminal building running frequently to the city center and other destinations in the city.
Information Desk: There are information kiosks available all throughout the ariport terminal and there are electronic information booths in the terminal. The touch screen booths give information on airport navigation, flight informtion an onward transportation. There are also passengers service assistance hand on hand to provide information and assistance.

Airport Facility:

  • Currency and Communication: Bureau de change and ATMs are located at the departures, there is an International Currency Exchange with two cash dispensers available at the terminal opposite the doors on the righthand side .
  • Refreshments: Food is simply delicious at the terminal building, a wide variety of restaurants and bar inluding Burger King, Upper Crust, Mezza Café and Milles Cookies are all available at the airport terminal.
  • Shopping: Shopping include a wide variety of shops including whistlestop Grocery shop, world news, Impluse, sock shop, health and beauty, electrical, gifts, books and accessiories.
  • Left and Lost Luggage: 24 hour left bagagge storage is available at the terminal building and lost luggage facility can be availed by the Airport Lost Property cell, tel: (0) 158 239 5219.
  • Other Facility: Other facility includes a 24 hour pharmacy, baby change rooms and Airport Chapel located across the road from the main terminal. There is facility for business and confrence also.
Disabled Facility: Wheelchair accessibility, lifts, ramps and reserved seatiing is available at the terminal for the disabled passengers. There is a designated accessible door also for the passengers who cannot use the revolving doors. Induction loops, lowered telephone are also available for the disbaled. Designated parking area is also available with short and long term parking facility for the disabled passengers. Any special assistance required by the disabled prior notice should be given to their respective airlines while booking their flight.
