 LIVERPOOL JOHN LENNON AIRPORT INFORMATION(LPL)

Location of the Airport: Airport is situated 7 miles southeast of Liverpool city center and opposite the Mersey Estuary. The airport can be reached from the North on the M6 southbound to junction 21 A with M62 and from the south on the M6 northbound to junction 20 with M56. This Airport is one of the north’s busiest airports and has 5 airlines which fly to over 30 different destinations worldwide.

Traveling to and from the Airport:

  • Bus: Bus service is provided by the Liverpool Express No: 500 leaving from the airport to all the major bus terminals and other destinations in the city. The Airlink bus service is also available to the Liverpool city center.
  • Taxi: Taxi service is provided by the Mersey Cabs and are available outside the ariport terminal.

Information Desk: The airport information desk is located on the ground floor concourse and is opened upto 20 hours providing information on flight, tourism and public transport.

Airport Facility:

  • Currency and Communication: ATMs and bureau de change is on the level 1 and on top of the escalator and stairs leading to level 3. Telephones are on the landside of level 3, Internet and Email facilities are also available in the departure lounge.
  • Refreshments: Food at the airport terminal includes the Obrien’s Irish Coffee Bar, Burger King, Whistlestop Food and Wine and Aintree Food Village. There are some other fast food outlets at the terminal building.
  • Shopping: Newspapaers, gifts, Sok shop, Music Shop, Soft Shoe Company are some of the shops at the terminal building. There are other shops also available offering a multitude of goods.
  • Left and Lost Luggage Facility: Left luggage facility is available on the ground floor of the terminal building and there is no lost property office available at the terminal.
  • Other Facility: Other facility includes a multi denominational Prayer room, conference and business facility, mother and baby change rooms and a 24 hour first aid facility.
Disabled Facility: Low level telephones, wheelchair accessible toilets, lifts and ramps are provided for the disabled passengers at the terminal building. Drop off area is located just outside the terminal building and there is reserved parking place for the disabled passengers at the terminal.
