The airport is located 28 miles south of London and it is the 6 th busiest international airport and UK’s second largest airport. The airport is directly linked to the M23 motorway at junction 9 and to the A23 London Brighton road.
There are two terminals and a free transit train links both the terminal 24 hours a day.
The airport information desk is located in the arrivals of the terminal building and they provide flight information as well as other information as required by the passengers.
The airport is reasonably friendly to the disabled passengers and both the terminals offer ramps, wider access pathways, disabled toilet facilities, reserved seating and wheel chair accessibility. Any assistance requiring by the disabled, the passengers should give prior notice to their respective airlines while booking their tickets. Telephones at a height accessible to wheel chair users is also provided for the disabled.
