EDINBURGH AIRPORT INFORMATION
Location of the Airport: Edinburgh International Airport is located 8 miles west of the historic city center, located just off the A8 from the center of Edinburgh and the well signed airport access road turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.
Traveling to and from the Airport:
- Bus: Regualr bus service is available from the bus station outside the domestic arrivals serving to the city center of Edinburgh. Express service is also available 24 hours operating from the Ocean Terminal via the city center to Edinburgh Airport.
- Taxi: Taxis are available from the taxi rank in front of the terminal building and they run to the city center and other destinations in the city as well, they can be called at tel: (0131) 344 3344.
Information Desk: The information desk is available next to the international arrivals on the ground floor including the Edinburgh and Lothian tourist Board desk, tel: (0) 0870 040 0007 or (0131) 473 3800.
Airport Facilities:- Currency and Communication: Buerau de change is located opposite the tourist information desk and befor the boarding card check. There is also an ATM and a post office at the airport terminal. There is also a bureau de change in International arrivals hall on the ground floor of the terminal building.
- Refreshments: Several bar and restaurants are available before and after the security checks, coffee shops are also available throughout the terminal building.
- Shopping: Shopping is fabulous at the airport terminal with huge range of world famous designer brands and familiar high street stores. There is also a tax n duty free shop outlet at the terminal building.
- Left and Lost Luggage Facility: The left luggage office is located between the check in and international arrivals hall on the ground floor of the terminal building. There is also a lost property desk available at the terminal, tel: (0) 131 344 3486.
- Other Facility: This include a baby care facility on the departuers concourse located next to the security search area and there is a 24 hour first aid facility available at the terminal building.
