 Cardiff Airport Information

Location of the Airport: The airport is located 12 miles from the city center and handles 1,500,000 passengers a year. The airport single terminal provides check in desks on the 1 st floor of the terminal building and those ariving at the airport can be met on the ground floor in the main concourse.

Information Desk: Information desk is provided on the first floor of the terminal building providing information on flights and as well as tourist information also. The Bakers Dolphin travel agency is in the main terminal and is open Monday to Saturday.

Airport Facilities:
  • Currency and Communication: ATMs and bureau de change is available throughout the terminal building and there is a facility for money to be exchanged online through Traveled via the Travel Offers section provided at one of the bureau de change.
  • Refreshments: Variety of food options are available in the airport ranging from catering options including sandwiches, snacks, hot food and beverages. There is also a Scrum Bar opened for all the departing flights.
  • Shopping: Wide range of shopping can be experienced at the airport terminal including The Travel Shopping Tax and Duty Free shop in the departures lounge offering perfume, cosmetics, confectionery and electronic consumer goods.
  • Lost and Left Luggage facility: There is no left and lost luggage facility provided at the terminal building. Free bagagge trolleys are available from designated areas outside the terminal building and within the arrivals area.
  • Other Facility: Other facility include Special baby care rooms equipped with changing tables providing comfort and privacy for the passengers travelling with young babies and this is located on the first floor of the departures lounge and the arrivals hall. There are two games zones available in the departures lounge and on the first floor of the terminal building.
Disbaled Facility: Disabled facility includes use of airport wheel chairs throughout the terminal building, low level kerbs at terminal entrance and exit, lifts between all floors, specially designed toilets on the first floor and Minicom facility for the deaf or hard of hearing is available at the information desk. Dedicated parking spaces in both short and long term is provided for the disabled passengers.
