BRISTOL AIRPORT INFORMATION

Location of the Airport: The airport is located 8 miles south of Bristol city center, it is one of the fastest growing airports in the UK with a year on year passenger increase. The airport was awarded the Investors in People’s standard for the Airport’s commitment to staff training and development in November 2002. The airport is easily accessible from south M5 leaving the M5 at junction 22.

Traveling to and from the Airport:
  • Bus: Bus operated by the Bristol International Flyer is the only express coach linking between the city center of Bristol, Bristol bus station and the International Airport. There is also a comfortable Flyer Lounge at Temple Meads railway station.
  • Taxi: The taxi rank outside the terminal building operates to the city center and other destinations in the city which is operated by Airportcarz. The taxi booking desk is located at the international arrivals area in the terminal building.
Information Desk: The airport information desk is located all over the airport terminal providing information on flights, public transport and tourist information as well.

Airport Facility:

  • Money and Communication: ATMs and bureau de change is located on the ground floor and the first floor check in area. Telephones, fax service and wireleww interner service is located in the first floor of the terminal building. There is also a post office located near the flying visit in the arrivals area.
  • Refreshment: Number of food outlets are provided on the ground floor of the terminal building, the food court is on the Mezzanine floor. Bar and the Brunel Bar offer smoking area and the other food outlets include the food village, Burger King and La Brioche Doree.
  • Shopping: Newsagent and various other shops are available at the terminal. There are a selection of shops including gifts and accessories, books and magazines, clothes and electrical goods are available at the terminal. The Nuance is the only duty free shop available at the terminal building.
  • Left and lost luggage facility: There is no lost or left luggage facility available at the terminal, baggage trolleys are available on the ground floor of the terminal.
  • Other Facilities: 24 hour first aid service and a chemist shop is available on the ground floor of the terminal, baby change rooms are located throughout the airport. There is also a game zone available in the departure lounge of the terminal.
Disabled Facility: Wheel chair accessibility, ramps, lifts, reserved seating area and disabled toilets are provided for the disabled at the terminal. Lowered telephone, induction loops for the hearing impaired is also available. Those requiring special assistance should give prior notice to their respective airlines while booking their flights. Special parking zone is provided with short and long term parking facility for the disabled at concession rates.
