Location of the Airport: The airport is located 8 miles southeast of Birmingham and is situated on the A45 Coventry road close to junction 6 of the M42. Traveling to and from the Airport:
  • Rail: The Birmingham International Train Station is linked by the free Skyrail and a network of regional and intercity rail service operates including service to the London Euston.
  • Bus: Buses depart from outside the terminal building and serves to the city center and beyond. Coaches are also available operating to long distance linking to the airport and a number of other cities.
  • Taxi: Taxi’s are readily available outside the terminal building especially the Black Cabs which carry up to five people with luggage.

Terminal Information: The airport has two terminals and are connected by the Millennium Link walkway.

  • Currency and Communication: Both the terminals are facilitated with ATMs and bureau de change and terminal one is provided with a postal service.
  • Refreshments: Terminal one and terminal two is provided with a variety range of cafes, restaurants, bars and fast food outlets.
  • Shopping: Shopping at the airport is very less with only few retail shops available.
  • Left and Lost Luggage Facility: Terminal one is provided with a left luggage facility on the first floor, tel: (0) 121 767 7987, and there is no lost luggage office anywhere both in the terminal one and two.
  • Other Facility: Other facility includes a 24 hour medical center and a prayer room in both the terminal.

Disabled Facility: Birmingham International Airport tries to ensure that their disabled passenges are able to travel with comfortable and hassle free. They provide wheel chairs on request, easy access to facilities on the ground floor and signposted lifts and other levels, toilet facility, MINICOM system is installed at the terminal 1 with special number +44 (0) 121 767 8084, induction loop system which amplifies announcements for the passengers wearing hearing aids and Deaf Alerter system- a small hand held unit which alerts the user in the event of a fire alarm.
